8th Annual CS2A Awards Ceremony (October 22, 2024)
Thank you to all of the attendees of the 8th Annual Canadian Safety Achievement Awards (CS2A) hosted by the GPMC/NMC, celebrating safety excellence and the industry’s unwavering commitment to safety in the unionized maintenance sector. Over 9.5 million injury free craft hours were recorded in 2023 bringing the total to 81.5 million injury free hours since the inception of the program.
Congratulations to all and thank you to those who have contributed to our success!

The Canadian Safety Achievement Awards (CS2A), hosted by the General Presidents’ Maintenance Committee for Canada and National Maintenance Council for Canada (GPMC | NMC), is proud to announce Milwaukee Tool partnered with us again in 2024 to honour the esteemed Craftperson of the Year awards winners for Eastern Canada (Calvin Getchell) and Western Canada (Renee Melnyk).

8th Annual CS2A Award Winners
Congratulations to the Craftperson of the Year recipients for 2024; Renee Melnyk (Local 424) and Calvin Getchell (Local 2262). Both Renee and Calvin received an outstanding Milwaukee tool set from our Partner Milwaukee Tool along with $ 5,000 from GPMC/NMC.

2025 CS2A Nomination Period
Nominations for the Canadian Safety Achievement Awards (CS2A) will open on February 1, 2025.
9th Annual CS2A Awards Ceremony
We are already planning the 9th Annual CS2A Awards ceremony.
The event will be held on October 21, 2025 at the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel.
