CS2A: Snapshot of the 2019/2020 Program

The Canadian Safety Achievement Awards (CS2A) experienced another record year in its 4th year of operation thanks to dedicated Stakeholders.

2020 In Review

Despite the pandemic response overlapping with the CS2A application and verification period, Stakeholder dedication and resiliency once again has shone through as we experienced yet another strong year for participation.

In 2019/2020, a record number of nominations (250) were submitted by Employers from across the Country accumulating to a new historical high of over 11.37 million injury free craft hours. In fact, most performance metrics exceeded or matched the benchmarks from previous years. With strong participation under the CS2A program, even through difficult times, competition continues to ramp up and those awarded truly represent a best in class performance.

The achievements recognized through this initiative represent decades of continual improvement, perseverance, and teamwork across the tripartite. They are a reminder to us all that incredible things can be accomplished as a result of trying times; the challenges we overcome today will make us stronger and better for tomorrow.

On behalf of the GPMC / NMC Committee, congratulations to this year’s winners and thank you to all participants for your commitment to the CS2A initiative. Together we will continue to drive this program to new heights with each passing year.
